You've probably noticed the Sex and Body board has been made 18+ and password protected. Just wondering if you agree with this, seeing as I know some people are younger than 18 here but are still really mature. Also bare in mind if you ever have a body question (non sex related) but are underage, you have no where to ask the question) I told Saskia I didn't agree with it and she asked me to ask you guys so, what d'you think?

I like it, because I'd rather be able to talk freely. What if we had two? Or perhaps the 18+ be a sub-board within the Sex & Body board?

I don't disagree with it being password protected because it's normal people wanna talk about stuff like that privately but why 18+?
Not only are there sexually active people under the age of 18 but there's also people that might have questions about sex who aren't 18 yet, you get me?

Yeah, I agree, that's kind of what I'm suggesting. So that we have a normal Sex & Body board, with an additional 18+ chat. I'm comfortable answering questions about sex from a minor, sure, but not discussing it freely.

I think those are good ideas. In the beginning when I signed up yesterday, I was worried with my daughter being on here and seeing some of the stuff that would be talked about. But I'm sure she'd feel more grown up if she was allowed in there to ask questions, but not exposed to the 18+ chat. Hope that wasn't too confusing... haha.

I agree with Em. I know people younger than 18 like to ask questions about stuff.

What about 16 and over??? I had the same problem on my board, I wanted it 16 and over and the other girl I run it with didn't like it, so we had to keep it at 18+. Most girls these days are sexually active and understanding of all this stuff when they are 15 and 16, so I think it's only fair??

i think its good the way it is now you are probably right that some younger girls are understanding this too but that could go in the normal body board

We also have liability issues when we start introducing explicit material to people under the age of 18. Whether they're active or not, it's not really our place to introduce them to it.
