Reading Saskia's post made me think about my own life at the moment. I'm supposed to be in my final semester of college, but I went to one class and though I've been thinking about it for quite some time, I've finally decided I don't want to be an architect.
Most people would just tell me to take my last 5 freakin' hours and get it over with, so that at least I'd have one degree. But... I don't want to.
I've been thinking for a while about switching to graphics design, and I've been really pondering it lately. For nearly a year now, I've only had one class to finish my degree. And though I've taken it one and a half times (dropped both times, once was a really stupid decision), it's just not worked for me.
So, I think I'm taking another semester off and possibly getting a job with an architecture firm to see if maybe it's something I could actually enjoy. For right now, though, I think I'm switching my major to Graphic Design (Graphic Communication).
